How To Gain Muscle

Every athlete’s dreams of gaining tons of muscle and being that player that is able to withstand any hit, but yet not every athlete is like that. The truth is gaining muscle is easy, so it is a surprise that more athletes are not already like that. I believe the reason for this is that they just don’t know how to after a certain point. Once they get beyond the beginner stages of lifting, their gains drop off considerably. That is where I come in and teach athletes how to gain muscle beyond this stage of training.

I’ve only seen a small handful of athletes that I could say truly towered over opponents from muscle. These are the type of athletes that I could honestly say that it would honestly hurt more than help them if they gained more muscle. But outside of these few outliers, every athlete needs to get bigger and stronger; it is truly the only way to compete in this era. The good news is that it is easy to gain this muscle and learn how to gain muscle. But I don’t think that many athletes have the motivation to try and teach their selves the process, and that is how this industry makes money.

I could honestly pack up to 25 pounds of pure muscle onto an athlete within their first year of training. That would be tough, but very doable. But I don’t know many athletes that would need to gain muscle that drastically, instead I prefer to add a good amount of muscle to their frames while also making them much more athletic in the process.

Now the first thing I have athletes do when they want to start gaining muscle is actually training. I know that may sound obvious, but there are many trainers out there that beat around the bush and prescribe “cute” and “functional” exercises for their athletes that do not provide any results. Well that type of training is very ineffective and just shitty all together. Instead, if an athlete wants to gain weight, they must hit the gym hard in order to build some quality muscle.

The next thing that I assure the athlete is doing is that they are getting all their caloric requirements. Gaining weight is very easy to do when you are eating a shit load every day. That is why I recommend athletes to basically eat as much food as possible. They also need to be sure to drink lots of milk as that seriously puts on weight quickly. But I advise them to stay away from consuming too much junk food as that can lead to some serious health issues down the road.

I hope you know have a better picture of how easy it truly is to actually gain weight. Now I did leave out some very small factors that play a very small role, but they are too small for you to even think about at this point in time. So now that you know how to gain muscle, how are you going to apply it to your training?
